**Due to not having an external CD drive, I wanted to use a compact version of Windows XP (total size after installation is ~400MB).**
I found two Ghost files on the internet with a size of ~200MB each. I created a USB Hiren's BootCD, then used it to ghost the files onto my EEE PC. Windows runs very stable, and I installed the drivers from the CD that came with the laptop. Everything is working fine, except for the battery.
Windows cannot detect the battery, so it always reports that it is running on an external power source. When the battery is drained, the computer will turn off without any warning.
If anyone knows how to fix this issue, or knows where the battery management file is located, please let me know. Thanks!
