Ủy ban Kinh tế của Thượng viện (CAE) đã được phê duyệt vào thứ Tư (15) việc đề cử João Pedro Nascimento Fonseca Lobo để đứng đầu Ủy ban Chứng khoán và Giao dịch (CVM).Trong bài trình bày của mình trước Thượng nghị sĩ, Fonseca Lobo nói rằng tài sản tiền điện tử sẽ là ưu tiên hàng đầu cho chính quyền của ông.
Một điểm xứng đáng được chú ý đặc biệt liên quan đến các hoạt động về tiền điện tử, không có quy định nào trong nước."Fonseca Lobo nói.

**CVM's new president nominee says crypto assets will be a priority**
The Senate's Economic Affairs Committee (CAE) approved on Wednesday (15) the nomination of João Pedro Nascimento Fonseca Lobo to head the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). In his presentation to senators, Fonseca Lobo said that crypto assets will be a priority for his administration.
"One point that deserves special attention concerns crypto-activities, which have no regulation in the country. In any case, this year the CVM authorized the trading of [exchange-traded funds], index funds, of crypto assets’ securities in Brazil," Fonseca Lobo said.
Fonseca Lobo did not give further details on how he intends to deal with crypto assets, but he said that issues such as a proposal for new regulation of public offerings, a new regulation for investment funds, an ESG agenda and communication on corporate demands are of "greatest relevance in the CVM's regulatory agenda."
In addition to Fonseca Lobo, CAE also approved Fernando Caio Galdi to assume the role of director of CVM. Both names will be discussed in plenary.
