**JPMorgan Chase taps new leader for blockchain-based Interbank Information Network (IIN)**
JPMorgan Chase has appointed Christine Moy as the new leader of its blockchain-based Interbank Information Network (IIN).
Moy, who currently heads the bank’s Blockchain Center of Excellence, will take over from John Hunter, who helped create IIN in 2017.
Hunter will remain with the bank as a senior adviser to the IIN team, a spokesperson said.
IIN is a permissioned blockchain network that allows banks to share data about payments and other transactions.
According to JPMorgan, more than 400 banks have joined the network, including more than half of the top 50 banks.
Moy has been with JPMorgan Chase for over 20 years and has held a variety of roles in the bank’s investment banking, asset management and technology divisions.
She started her career in the bank’s syndicated loans business and has experience across a range of assets and divisions within the bank.
In her new role, Moy will be responsible for leading the continued development and growth of IIN.
She will also work with banks on the network to explore new use cases for blockchain technology.
