A few days ago, we heard rumors that a new Chromebook Pixel with a 2560 x 1700 screen was in the works. Now, a document from Google Chrome OS confirms that the new Chromebook Pixel is real, and it also has a unique light bar.
The light bar is called "Lightbar," and it changes color depending on the state of the device. For example, when the device is booting up or shutting down, Lightbar will display the colors of the Google logo. When the battery level is low, Lightbar will turn red.
The light bar is powered by the keyboard backlight, so the brightness of Lightbar will change depending on the brightness of the keyboard backlight.
