**Layer-2 solution 'Base' sees TVL surge by over 60% in 24 hours**
According to data from Defillama, the total value locked (TVL) on layer-2 solution 'Base' has increased by over 60% in the last 24 hours, from $190 million to $319 million.
This growth is attributed to the launch of the DEX floor 'Aerodrome' on Base on August 28, which was developed by the team behind 'Velodrome' on Optimism.
On August 31, TVL on Aerodrome increased by $150 million to help this protocol contribute up to $160 million to the total value locked on Base.
The reason for the surge in user activity on Aerodrome is due to the DEX floor's liquidity incentive program, which rewards users with Aero tokens.
