Ripple, the company behind the XRP cryptocurrency, has hired former HSBC executive Stuart Treacher as its new head of global payments.
Treacher will be based in London and will report directly to Ripple CEO Chris Larsen. He will be responsible for leading Ripple’s global payments strategy and execution.
Treacher has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He previously held senior roles at HSBC, where he was responsible for driving blockchain and distributed ledger adoption.
