Last week, Tricksmmo published an article about a new feature on iOS 14 that allows users to detect apps that secretly access the camera or microphone. This feature is very useful and I think it should be available on Android as well.
After reading the article, I decided to rewrite a similar application for Android but did not use Accessibility Service, which can access a lot of other sensitive information on the phone screen. Instead, I used Usagestatsmanager, which allows me to track the historical use of applications.
My application is called Wisom (Who Is Spying On Me?) and it is now available on Google Play. Compared to Access Dots, Wisom provides more detailed information, such as knowing whether the camera is being accessed as the front or rear camera or both. Wisom also provides information about the configuration of the microphone being used (for example, whether it is in stereo mode or mono mode).
In addition, Wisom also allows you to customize the image of green dots into shapes, emoji, camera images, etc. depending on your preferences.
