Morris' column, published on CoinDesk on Tuesday, discusses Swift's recent decision to pull her music from Spotify in protest of the streaming service's "mistreatment" of artists. In her letter to Spotify, Swift wrote that she was "alarmed to learn that Spotify had recently purchased a streaming service called Tidal, which is owned by Jay-Z, one of the artists who spoke out against me last week."
Morris argues that Swift's decision to question FTX's ownership structure and its relationship with Jay-Z was "entirely reasonable" and "reflects the due diligence that any artist should perform before entering into a business relationship."
