The Malta-based cryptocurrency exchange OKEx has come under fire on May 14 after its CEO stepped down. The move comes as OKEx’s trading volume has surpassed the market leader, Binance.
According to Japanese news outlet CT, one of the former CEO’s new roles will be Huobi’s global business development (including Japan, Korea, the Middle East and APAC), as well as Huobi’s management and financial strategies. In an interview with CT, Huobi’s executive director Leon Li said that Leebi’s resignation and move to Huobi were agreed upon simultaneously.
