Trên Twitter và Reddit, nhiều quản trị viên hệ thống đã phàn nàn về sự cố này và cho biết Microsoft Defender cho điểm cuối liên tục hiển thị cảnh báo ransomware.
Microsoft đã xác nhận sự cố này và cho biết các kỹ sư đã sửa chữa sau khi cập nhật logic đám mây cho Microsoft Defender cho điểm cuối.

A funny incident occurred today with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (Microsoft Defender version for businesses) when this security software tags warning of Office updates as malwareRansomware (Malware specializes in data theft) on the system.
On Twitter and Reddit, many system administrators have complained about this incident and said Microsoft Defender For Endpoint continuously displays the ransomware warning.
Microsoft has confirmed this incident and said the engineers have fixed after updating Cloud Logic for Microsoft Defender For Endpoint.
The company has released a source code update to fix errors and eliminate false warnings.
Despite being immediately overcome, this is not the first time Microsoft Defender for Endpoint has caused a problem with Office.
In November last year, Defender For Endpoind also prevented users from opening Office documents and blocked some Office tasks due to the wrong identification of malware.
