**FTX wins court battle over appointment of independent examiner**
A judge has ruled that there is no need to appoint an independent examiner to investigate the affairs of FTX, rejecting a request from the trustee of the collapsed Three Arrows Capital (3AC).
The judge sided with representatives for FTX, who previously argued that there was no need to appoint an examiner to "conduct yet another costly investigation that will slow the progress of these cases."
Lawyers for FTX previously said that an independent examination could end up costing the estate $100 million.
"I agree with the objectors and will deny the motion to appoint an examiner," the judge said.
During the same hearing, FTX's court-appointed joint provisional liquidators in the Bahamas said that the company had transferred more than $7.7 billion in assets from its Bahamian entities to its U.S. units.
