As at the beginning, Djed is pegged 1:1 with the dollar, being overcollateralized as ADA (similar to the dough) and using Shen as the reserve currency. DJED is guaranteed by ADA and requires a reserve rate of 400-800% to minimize the risk of losing value.
DJED will be used on DEFI protocols in Cardano ecosystem as a stable alternative. Coti revealed that there will be more coins such as Wrapped BTC (WBTC) and Wrapped ETH (Weth) as collateral used to cast DJED on Cardano.
