**Cryptocurrency Investor Kevin Hu Joins Brevan Howard as Head of Digital Assets**
Kevin Hu, a former general partner and head of liquid strategy at crypto-focused investment firm Dragonfly Capital, has joined Brevan Howard Asset Management as head of digital assets.
In his new role, Hu will be responsible for developing and executing Brevan Howard's digital assets strategy, which will focus on investing in blockchain and cryptocurrency companies that are creating "new digital economies."
Hu brings to Brevan Howard more than eight years of experience in the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry. Prior to joining Dragonfly in 2019, he spent three years as an associate at BlackRock with the alternative investment group.
"As we continue to strengthen our position as a leading institutional digital assets investment platform, we are thrilled to have Kevin join our expanding team," said Brevan Howard co-CEO Alan Howard in a press release. "Kevin's significant experience investing in digital assets and managing liquid strategies is a welcome addition to our growing pool of exceptional talent."
Hu is the third recent senior hire at BH Digital, following Galaxy Digital veteran Robert Bogucki's appointment as senior portfolio manager in the trading strategy and blockchain.com alum Lewis Tuff, who became the chief technology officer of BH Digital.
Brevan Howard's move into digital assets comes as the cryptocurrency market continues to grow in size and institutional adoption. In April, the firm announced the launch of a $1 billion crypto hedge fund, which is believed to be the largest of its kind.
