**Icelandic Prisoner Who Escaped While on Bail in Bitcoin Mining Heist Arrested in Sweden**
An Icelandic prisoner who escaped while on bail in connection with a $2 million bitcoin mining heist has been arrested in Sweden, police said Wednesday.
Yuriy Borshevsky, 28, was arrested in the southern Swedish city of Malmö on Tuesday, police said in a statement. He is wanted in Iceland on charges of aggravated theft and aggravated assault.
Borshevsky was one of 23 people arrested in connection with the heist, which took place in March 2018. The group allegedly broke into a data center in Reykjavik and stole more than 900 bitcoin mining machines.
Borshevsky was released on bail in June 2018 but failed to appear for a court hearing in July. He is believed to have fled to Sweden.
Police said they are working with Swedish authorities to extradite Borshevsky back to Iceland.
