Viettel has officially announced that it has overcome the technical problems to support 5G on iPhone 12 series. This means that all iPhone 12 series devices using Viettel subscribers will be able to use 5G officially.
To use 5G on iPhone with Viettel subscribers, you need to update to iOS 14.5 beta (or wait for the official version) and make sure your device is on the list of devices that are allowed to use 5G by Apple and Viettel. You also need to go to a place with 5G coverage.
Viettel is the only network operator in Vietnam that has overcome the technical problems to support 5G on iPhone 12 series. According to Viettel's 5G test results in Thu Duc and Hanoi city, it reached the download speed of about 1Gbps and uploaded more than 100Mbps.
