It remains unclear whether the capital is being consolidated in line with bankruptcy proceedings or if it is being deployed to generate a yield.
New FTX CEO John J. Paul III has been mulling ideas to repay creditors who lost money following FTX's and Alameda's collapse in November. One idea was to reboot the FTX exchange.
"Everything is on the table," Ray told The Wall Street Journal in January. "If there is a path forward on that, then we will not only explore that, we’ll do it."
