** Chính phủ Việt Nam khởi động chương trình thí điểm tiền điện tử **
Ngân hàng Nhà nước Việt Nam (SBV) đã công bố kế hoạch khởi động một chương trình thí điểm cho tiền điện tử.Chương trình dự kiến sẽ giúp chính phủ nhìn thấy những ưu và nhược điểm của tiền điện tử, đồng thời phát triển một cơ chế quản lý phù hợp.
Huyooc Ngha, Phó Giám đốc Viện Đổi mới thuộc Đại học Kinh tế Hồ Chí Minh, nói với ấn phẩm rằng các khoản thanh toán không tiền mặt đang tăng lên ở Việt Nam và sự công nhận tiền kỹ thuật số của Ngân hàng Trung ương sẽ giúp tăng tốc quá trình này.
Tiền kỹ thuật số là một xu hướng không thể tránh khỏi, ông nói.
Trước đây, SBV đã nhấn mạnh rằng tiền điện tử không được công nhận về mặt pháp lý tại Việt Nam.Vào năm 2018, SBV đã cấm các ngân hàng thương mại và các nhà cung cấp dịch vụ thanh toán thực hiện các giao dịch với tiền điện tử, lập luận rằng tiền điện tử có thể làm tăng nguy cơ rửa tiền, tài trợ khủng bố và trốn thuế.

**Vietnamese Government to Launch Cryptocurrency Pilot Program**
The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) has announced plans to launch a pilot program for cryptocurrencies. The program is expected to help the government to see the pros and cons of cryptocurrencies, while developing an appropriate management mechanism.
Huyooc Nghia, Deputy Director of the Institute of Innovation Under The University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, told the publication that cashless payments are increasing in Vietnam and the recognition of digital currencies by the central bank would help accelerate this process.
“Digital money is an inevitable trend,” he said.
Previously, the SBV has stressed that cryptocurrencies are not legally recognized in Vietnam. In 2018, the SBV banned commercial banks and payment service providers from making transactions with cryptocurrencies, arguing that cryptocurrencies could increase the risk of money laundering, terrorism financing and tax evasion.
