**Twitter creates a team to develop cryptocurrency-related features**
The world's leading social network has decided to delve deeper into the cryptocurrency market by creating a new team dedicated to developing all the central aspects of the industry. The team will be led by engineer Tess Rinearson.
Prior to joining Twitter, Rinearson worked on the development of Tendermint Core and has also worked with Chain.com, Interchain Foundation and Cosmos (ATOM). She revealed that the team will work on cryptocurrencies, blockchains and other decentralized technologies that are not necessarily related to the financial sector.
“As I build out the team, we’ll explore what crypto can do for Twitter, and what Twitter can do for crypto. There’s a lot to explore here.”
The team hopes to complete the Bitcoin tipping feature and the identity service that has been announced through NFTs. Furthermore, Rinearson plans to support decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), other identity-oriented solutions, property ownership and community building.
