Armanino, a global accounting and consulting firm, has announced a new integration with Chainlink that will provide on-chain data for stablecoin risk management. The integration will use Armanino's Trustexplorer API to provide data on the collateralization of stablecoins, which can then be used by app builders to develop preventative measures against fractional reserve banking or other potential red flags.
"One of the things that we think will be improved will be on Aave - they'll build-in risk circuit-breakers," said Noah Buxton, Armanino's Blockchain Director. "They'll look at if the token is collateralized - is it a stable stablecoin - and then use that to build risk functionality around that."
The integration is the latest in a series of moves by Armanino to expand its blockchain offerings. In June, the firm announced that it had launched a new blockchain consulting practice. In July, it also announced that it had joined the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance.
"We're excited to be working with Chainlink to provide on-chain data for stablecoin risk management," said Rafael Cosman, CEO of Trusttoken. "This integration will help to ensure that stablecoin issuers are actually capable of minting the coins and keeping themselves collateralized."
