**USDC market capitalization increases by 42% in less than a month**
The total market capitalization of USDC has increased by $200 million since March 1, reaching $600 million. This is a 42% increase in just less than a month.
According to a post from the Coinbase blog, "more and more users and organizations are looking to USDC as a temporary anchoring place in the middle of the current fluctuations."
Earlier this week, MakerDao also chose USDC as a new form of collateral for its protocol, in addition to ETH and BAT previously.
USDC is currently issued primarily by Coinbase and Circle, although these companies said last year that they were looking to expand the number of organizations that could issue this stablecoin.
