**Zhao Dong, a well-known OTC trader in China and shareholder of Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange – the company shares the same executive team and owner with Tether – revealed this news on Wechat on Wednesday,** saying about the plan to create a stablecoin CNHT.
**Renrenbit, a peer-to-peer electronic cryptocurrency exchange, will support transactions and withdrawal of CNHT when it is launched, he said.**

“From a personal point of view, I think a yuan-denominated stablecoin can promote the circulation of yuan abroad and internationalize it. The regulatory agencies may have positive feedback when this project sees success.”
Zhao shared with Cindesk that he believed this new stablecoin will be released in a very early time, maybe in a few weeks. He said that the cash reserved for this Stablecoin project is expected to be kept in a Belgian bank.
According to him, this new type of token will have two main advantages: it will make Tether less dependent on the US dollar for its stable business activities while promoting the yuan and the yuan is stored in foreign.
