In a series of tweets on Monday, FatMan said that the oracle, which is used to price mAssets, is vulnerable to an attack that could allow an attacker to mint an unlimited number of mAssets and drain all liquidity from the pools.
“The oracle is currently mispricing mAssets by a factor of 100x,” FatMan said. “This means that for every $1 of collateral, an attacker can mint $100 worth of mAssets. They can then sell these mAssets on the open market and withdraw the funds, draining all liquidity from the pools.”
FatMan said that he has reported the bug to the Mirror team, but has not received a response. He has also created a tool that users can use to check if their mAssets are at risk of being drained.
