A new documentary about Ethereum has raised $4.2 million in crowdfunding. The film, titled “The Infinite Garden,” is being produced by Optimist, a film production company founded by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin.
Fundraising for the documentary took place over three days on the crowdfunding site Mirror and ended July 16. The campaign was oversubscribed by more than 100%, with over 1,000 people contributing to the project.
Producers will also be working with pplpleasr to drop a series of Infinite Garden non-fungible tokens (NFT) tied to select on-screen credits in the film. The NFTs will be sold on OpenSea and will be used to fund the production of the documentary.
The Infinite Garden is expected to be released in early 2023.
