Seba, một người quản lý tài sản tiền điện tử có trụ sở tại Thụy Sĩ, đã trở thành công ty đầu tiên trong cả nước nhận được giấy phép quản lý tài sản từ Cơ quan giám sát thị trường tài chính (FINMA).
Giấy phép cho phép SEBA cung cấp các sản phẩm đầu tư tài sản tiền điện tử cho khách hàng tổ chức và cuối cùng sẽ được mở rộng cho khách hàng bán lẻ.

**Switzerland’s Seba Becomes First Crypto Asset Manager to Receive Asset Management License**
Seba, a Swiss-based crypto asset manager, has become the first firm in the country to receive an asset management license from the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA).
The license allows Seba to offer crypto asset investment products to institutional clients, and will eventually be extended to retail clients.
“This collective investment scheme license allows institutional clients, and then later retail clients, to invest into crypto assets on a liquid basis through fund structures,” Seba CEO Guido Buehler told CoinDesk in an interview, adding:
“It means there is now the opportunity for institutions to establish funds structures for crypto as a liquid asset, so people can subscribe today and can sell tomorrow.”
The move comes as the cryptocurrency market continues to grow, despite headwinds from upcoming U.S. regulation and China’s latest crackdown.
Buehler estimates that crypto should make up around the same allocation size in portfolios as gold going into 2022 – around 3%.
In order to get the license, Seba had to work with an asset manager, in this case, Switzerland’s Crypto Broker, part of Crypto Finance AG.
On the custody side of things, Seba is developing its own cold storage vault with the help of custom tech partners Fireblocks (which recently opened an office in Switzerland) and Switzerland-based Taurus.
“Institutional adoption is only at the beginning since a lot of institutional capabilities are still lagging the market demand,” Buehler said.
