Samourai Wallet, a privacy-focused bitcoin wallet, has partnered with Nodl to make it easier for users to mix their bitcoin.
The new node devices, which will be available this year, will come preloaded with Samourai Wallet’s Dojo software. Dojo includes a feature called Whirlpool, which batches bitcoin transactions together across wallets in order to obfuscate the source of funds.
Nodl node owners will also be able to update their devices to add Whirlpool desktop mixing, allowing them to access and manage their Samourai Wallet mixing on their desktop.
The partnership comes as Nodl sales see an uptick, with the company expecting to sell roughly 500 devices in 2019.
“For the first time you’ll have a one-click install mixing service that’s available to anyone,” said Nodl founder Dan Luczak.
Earlier this month, the company behind Samourai, Katana Cryptographic, announced its first venture funding round: a $100,000 investment from Cypherpunk Holdings.
