The workshop will take place on March 28, 2018 in Washington, D.C.
In a statement, Consumers' Research Executive Director Joe Colangelo said that the workshop will explore the potential impact of blockchains and distributed ledgers on consumers, while also addressing regulatory concerns about the technology.
"This collaboration will produce a model for Bitcoin and blockchain-based companies that also addresses the concerns of regulatory entities," Colangelo said.
The workshop is a shift from last year's paper, released at the North American Bitcoin Conference, which focused on opportunities and obstacles for the emerging technology.
