The acquisition took place after Zipmex was hit hard by the liquidity crisis in June. The exchange has since frozen withdrawals and is undergoing a business restructuring.
Zipmex is expected to use the funds from the acquisition to unlock customer accounts frozen on the exchange in April 2023.
