London-based cryptocurrency payment processor MoonPay has raised $555 million in a Series C funding round led by Coatue Management, valuing the company at $3.4 billion.

In recent months, MoonPay has been expanding its offerings into the non-fungible token (NFT) space. The company recently launched a service that allows users to buy NFTs directly from their bank accounts, and it has also partnered with several major NFT marketplaces.
“The next stage of where we’re going is really trying to focus on a new emerging movement around NFTs, which we think are going to be a very big driver for getting more people onboarded into the cryptoeconomy,” Soto-Wright told CoinDesk.
