Iroha, a blockchain framework for building user-friendly applications for mobile devices, has joined the Hyperledger project.
The announcement was made by Soramitsu, the startup that originally proposed the Iroha project. Soramitsu said that the firms involved in the project will all contribute development time and resources to create Hyperledger Iroha, which will be open-source.
The goal of the project is to develop a robust library of components that can be easily used by others building digital ledgers based on Hyperledger's technology. Specifically, the team behind Iroha seeks to create reusable components in C++ that can be called from other programming languages such as GO.
Iroha joins other distributed ledger projects under the Hyperledger umbrella, including Sawtooth Lake, Fabric and Cello.
