The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP) won't rush into another cryptocurrency investment, the fund's CEO said on Thursday, citing feedback from its members.
"It would be unwise for us to rush" into another crypto investment, Jason Taylor told the Financial Post. "We took our time and did a lot of due diligence on the business. It didn't turn out the way we thought."
The pension fund came under scrutiny for its investment in FTX following the company's collapse in November. FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is facing a string of charges of fraud and conspiracy and is awaiting trial in October.
OTPP didn't immediately respond to CoinDesk's request for further comment.
