**Bitcoin Odyssey: A New $100M Fund for Web3 Projects Built on Stacks**

Bitcoin Odyssey, a new $100 million fund for Web3 projects built on Stacks, was announced today. The fund is being co-led by Alex Chizhik, Head of Listings at Okcoin, and Kyle Ellicott, Partner at Stacks Accelerator.
“We don’t want to create a centralized fund that allocates dictated amounts,” Chizhik told CoinDesk in an interview. “What we want to do is essentially create a matchmaking service between the top-tier VCs and projects.”
The fund will focus on projects building in the areas of the metaverse, play-to-earn games, decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). Other areas of interest include citycoins and govtech.
“There’s no fixed allocated amount. There’s no minimum amount that we will give to each project,” Chizhik continued.
The initial funding target for Odyssey was $100 million, which was oversubscribed quickly, Chizhik said. He and Ellicott said they have continued to take calls from venture capital firms interested in participating in the pledge.
