**Russian Central Bank Opposes Legalization of Cryptocurrencies**
Russian President Vladimir Putin met with representatives of domestic organizations and business associations on Thursday (September 21). During the meeting, Elvira Nabiullina, Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, expressed disagreement with the legalization of domestic cryptocurrencies.
The head of the Central Bank of Russia believes that legalizing cryptocurrencies would allow the government to lose control over the cash flow from abroad into Russia.
Earlier this month, the Central Bank of Russia also issued a warning to people about the risks associated with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin as well as a form of ICO capital calling.
The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, on the other hand, is drafting a bill to legalize cryptocurrencies. The head of Russia's most powerful financial agency has affirmed that this draft, which will build a legal framework for the process of circulating cryptocurrencies, will be ready before the end of 2017.
