**Rarible launches NFT messaging app to facilitate communication within the NFT community**
**Rarible**, a leading non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, has launched a new messaging app to facilitate communication within the NFT community.
The app, which is called Rarible Messenger, includes a number of features familiar to messaging apps, such as the ability to see when users are online and send instant messages. However, users will only be able to message their followers on Rarible to indicate a willingness to connect.
Rarible will initially roll out the messaging app to a limited number of launch partners and influencers. The company plans to release a standalone messaging app in the future.
“The overall goal is to grow communication in the crypto space,” Rarible co-founder and product head Alex Alexandrov told CoinDesk in an interview. “The smaller goal is to facilitate the communication inside the NFT space specifically. NFTs are all about forming communities.”
Rarible is not the first NFT marketplace to launch a messaging app. In June, OpenSea, the largest NFT marketplace, launched its own messaging app called Seaport.
