Salnikov noted that innovative smart contract techniques are leading to an explosion in the use of DeFi for NFTs. For example, NFTs can be used as collateral for loans, or they can be used to represent ownership of real-world assets.
"I think we're going to see a lot of new projects coming out in the near future," Salnikov said. "We've seen activity picking up significantly since September, but it takes half a year to a year to build a really good project. So if there's a combination of NFTs, the project activity will explode."
