**Litecoin Price Slides for Fourth Consecutive Week, Longest Losing Streak Since August 2018**
Litecoin (LTC) has fallen for the fourth consecutive week, marking its longest losing streak since August 2018.
The fifth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization has lost 42% of its value since hitting a high of $107 on September 5. The latest sell-off has brought LTC down to $62, which is just above its 50-week moving average (MA).
The 50-week MA has consistently acted as strong support for LTC in the past. The cryptocurrency has only dipped below this level twice in its history, both times briefly.
The first time LTC fell below the 50-week MA was in August 2015. The cryptocurrency quickly rebounded and went on to rally to a new all-time high of $370 in December 2017.
The second time LTC fell below the 50-week MA was in August 2018. The cryptocurrency again rebounded and is now trading just above this level.
If history is a guide, LTC could continue to trade in a sideways manner around the 50-week MA for at least the next few months before breaking into the next bull market.
