- Lido Finance's Solana development team has proposed a \$1.5 million funding request from Lido DAO to continue supporting Solana for the next 12 months.
- The funding will be used to cover development costs, marketing, and community support.
- If the funding is not approved, the team will gradually remove Solana from the Lido protocol, similar to proposals for Polkadot and Kusama.
- The proposal will be voted on for 4 weeks and Lido DAO will choose one of two options:
* Continue supporting Solana with \$1.5 million in funding
* Gradually remove Solana from the Lido protocol
Lido Finance is one of the first Liquid Staking solutions and is dominating the whole segment with about 14 billion USD of the lock value (TVL) on the platform.
