**IOTA Foundation Investigating Seed Theft, Stolen Funds**
The IOTA Foundation is investigating a seed theft that resulted in the loss of funds from user wallets. The foundation said in a statement that it is working with law enforcement and cybersecurity experts to investigate the attack.
According to the foundation, the attack targeted an earlier version of the IOTA wallet. The foundation is evaluating the exploit and trying to analyze the hackers' attack pattern.
"First (but not all) exchanges have responded, reporting that no monitored funds have been transferred or liquidated," the foundation said.
The foundation said that it is aware of around 10 victims who have reported stolen funds. All of the victims appear to have recently used the Trinity wallet.
Dominik Schiener, co-founder of the IOTA Foundation, did not respond to request for comments before the press time.
