**XRP Lawsuit: Plaintiff Says Ripple's Monthly XRP Sales Constitute Ongoing Securities Sales**
A plaintiff in the ongoing lawsuit against Ripple Labs and CEO Brad Garlinghouse has filed a new legal brief arguing that the company's monthly sales of XRP from escrow constitute ongoing securities sales.
In the brief, plaintiff John Dozier Sostack claims that Ripple's sales of XRP from escrow are "akin to a never-ending initial coin offering" and that the company is therefore violating the U.S. securities laws.
Sostack also argues that the statute of repose, which is a law that limits the time in which a plaintiff can file a lawsuit, does not apply in this case because Ripple's alleged violations of the securities laws are ongoing.
Ripple has yet to respond to the new filing.
