**Blockchain Education Alliance Launches to Support Student Developers**
A new alliance of blockchain companies has launched to support student developers interested in building their own projects.
The alliance, which includes IBM, Mastercard, Stellar, and the incubator arms of Binance and Ripple, brings together industry figures from both within and outside of the digital asset space to train and support students.
Launched in October 2019, the initiative also tries to link corporate blockchain projects with researchers, students, and new protocols.
“The pandemic has forced many students to stay home from university campuses this year, meaning that jobs and internships are of the utmost importance,” said Ashlie Meredith, head of education at MOBI, one of the founding members of the alliance.
“This alliance will help connect students with the resources they need to get their foot in the door of the blockchain industry.”
The alliance will offer a variety of resources to students, including educational materials, mentorship programs, and access to job boards. It will also host hackathons and other events to encourage students to develop their skills.
“We believe that blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize the way we live and work,” said Meredith. “This alliance is committed to helping students learn about this technology and prepare for careers in the blockchain industry.”
