Euler Finance launches Governance Forum, announces EIP 1 and EIP 2
**Euler Finance**, a decentralized lending protocol, has launched its Governance Forum where users can discuss, propose and vote on improvements to the protocol.
**EIP 1** proposes to promote Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) to the collateral asset tier. This would increase the collateral coefficient of WBTC to 0.88 and the borrowing coefficient to 0.91.
**EIP 2** proposes to amend the interest rate model for USDC, Dai, Weth, USDT, Uni and Link. Currently, these assets are following the default interest rate model, which was created for riskier assets. However, given the high quality of these assets, the interest rates should be adjusted accordingly.
**How to participate in the Governance Forum**
To participate in the Governance Forum, users can submit their ideas in the [IDEA] category. If the mods approve the idea, it will be moved to the [RFC] category for further discussion. Once the [RFC] is complete, it will be moved to the [EIP] category for voting.
**Snapshot**
Once an EIP has been approved, a Snapshot will be taken to determine the community's support for the proposal. If the Snapshot passes, the proposal will be implemented.
**Note**
Voting on the Governance Forum is currently done through Multisig, as the protocol has not yet been decentralized through the distribution of tokens. However, once the protocol is decentralized, voting will be done by the community.
