**ICOs have surpassed early-stage VC funding, but due diligence is still important**
According to Coindesk data, ICOs had surpassed early-stage VC funding by June 2017. However, Amit Gupta, managing director of GPTA Capital, believes that due diligence is still important, even for ICOs with strong teams and white papers.
GPTA, which won the UN Social Finance Innovator Award of the Year 2015, is particularly interested in blockchain projects with social and environmental inclinations.
