Altair là bản nâng cấp lớn đầu tiên của Ethereum 2.0, phiên bản blockchain Ethereum sẽ hỗ trợ thuật toán đồng thuận bằng chứng, thay thế cơ chế làm bằng chứng của ngày hôm nay.Ethereum 2.0 đã triển khai chính của mình (được gọi là chuỗi Beacon) vào tháng 12 năm 2020, và kể từ đó, nhóm phát triển ETH đã thử nghiệm và xây dựng nó dần dần.

**Ethereum 2.0 Altair upgrade is scheduled for October 27**
The Ethereum development team announced that the Altair upgrade is scheduled to be deployed on Ethereum 2.0 at Epoch 74240, expected to be around 6:00 PM (UTC+7) on October 27, 2021.
Altair is the first major upgrade of Ethereum 2.0, the Ethereum blockchain version that will support the Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm, replacing the Proof-of-Work mechanism of today. Ethereum 2.0 has deployed its mainnet (called Beacon Chain) in December 2020, and since then, the ETH development team has been testing and building it gradually.
Altair will update the ability to support the client for Beacon Chain, the mechanism of calculating reward/penalties for Validator (transaction authentic) and overcome some other outstanding issues.
In addition, Ethereum last week also announced the technical configuration for "The Merge". This is the term used to consolidate the current two Ethereum blockchain and Ethereum 2.0, completing the process of switching to Proof-of-Stake.
This new information will help developers prepare for the immediate testing process, and reaffirm the determination to conduct The Merge as early as the early 2022 of the ETH team.
