**Venture Capital investment in crypto falls to 10-month low**
The current level of venture capital investment in crypto is at a 10-month low, with monthly funding down to $500 million to $1 billion, according to JPMorgan analysts.
This is less than one-third of the level seen in the same period last year, the analysts wrote in a note.
"This is a worrying development as it suggests a reluctance by venture capital funds to deploy capital in the digital assets sector," wrote Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou, global head of macro research at JPMorgan.
He believes this increases the likelihood that the downturn in the cryptocurrency market may be here for some time.
Panigirtzoglou also noted that other metrics such as sluggish Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) exchange-traded fund flows point to persistent weakness.
