The number of active blockchain developers reached an all-time high of 143,000 in 2022, despite the ongoing bear market, according to a new report by Electric Capital.

“I think it’s really, really remarkable that seven years ago, we had 1,000 monthly active developers and then over the past two years, 100,000 new developers just decided to take their time and write some code,” Shen said. “This is becoming a very significant open source community.”
The report also found that the average developer salary in the crypto industry increased by 39% to $57,000 in 2022. This is likely due to the high demand for skilled developers in the space.
