Cosmos Accelerator, a new initiative from the Cosmos ecosystem, has opened applications for its first cohort. The accelerator is backed by a group of strategic partners, including Sam Bankman Fried's Alameda Research, Kucoin Ventures, OKX BlockDream Ventures, Hashkey Capital, Chorus One, Figment, Chainer, Strangelove Ventures, Forb, Everstake and Galileo.
A spokesperson for Ignite told CoinDesk that the accelerator is open to any multichain crypto project, not just those building on Cosmos. This is in keeping with the network's ethos of being interoperable and non-maximalist.
Ignite plans to support 20 projects per year through its six-month program.
