**UAE Waste Management Company Launches Blockchain Platform**
A blockchain-based waste management portal has been developed by waste, recycling and environmental management company Bee'Ah and the management agency of Hamriyah Free Area (HFZA) - the Sharjah Free Zone Authority.
According to Wam, this is the first platform in the city to use blockchain technology to verify, process and store transactions.
The platform will reduce the costs for customers to apply for a license at the Hamriyah Free Area Management Agency as well as reduce the license time from a few days to a few hours.
All transactions are completely confidential, eliminating any human error or fraud.
Khaled Al Huraimel, CEO of Bee’ah, said he hoped that this technology would on the one hand to promote seamless activities, on the other hand, increase the trust between customers and operators.
