Jump Trading Group, a global quantitative trading firm, has launched a new crypto venture unit called Jump Crypto. The unit will focus on building the infrastructure and tools needed to support the growing crypto ecosystem.
“Our goal is to contribute to the building of the plumbing and railroads necessary to encourage crypto adoption,” said Kanav Kariya, president of Jump Crypto.
The launch of Jump Crypto follows shortly after Jump Trading Group’s acquisition of blockchain engineering group Certus One, a Berlin-based startup that provides the infrastructure for proof-of-stake blockchains.
In June, the group also joined Solana-built decentralized finance brokerage Oxygen as a strategic partner.
