**Cointerra Terraminer IV Batches on Schedule**
Cointerra, a Texas-based Bitcoin mining hardware company, has announced that its second manufacturing facility is now operating at full capacity and that it is churning out the February batch of orders for its Terraminer IV ASIC miners.
The company says that it has shipped over 1,000 Terraminer IV units to customers since the first batch began shipping a month ago.
"We handed over the very first Terraminer to a customer at the end of January and now I am very pleased to say that we have shipped over 1,000 Terraminers and are at full product volume," said Ravi Iyengar, Cointerra's CEO.
The Terraminer IV is a 2-terahash-per-second (TH/s) ASIC miner that consumes 1,650 watts of power. It was launched in January at a price of $2,999.
However, it was later discovered that the Terraminer IV was not performing as advertised. The units were running at 1.63TH/s to 1.72TH/s and consuming between 1,900W and 2,100W of power.
Cointerra has since acknowledged the performance issues and said that it is working on a fix.
In the meantime, the company is continuing to ship Terraminer IV units to customers. The next batch of units is expected to ship in June.
Cointerra is also taking orders for its new GSX I water-cooled PCIe card for PC miners. The GSX I is a 400GH/S unit based on a single Goldstrike I chip. It is expected to ship in June.
