**Coinbase names new Europe head as Feroz exits**

Coinbase has appointed Emilie Choi as its new head of Europe, replacing Zeeshan Feroz who is leaving the company.
Choi, who was previously the company's chief operating officer, will oversee Coinbase's continued expansion in Europe. She will be responsible for driving product development, marketing, and sales in the region.
Feroz, who had run Coinbase UK and Ireland (effectively acting as eurozone chief) since 2017, is not exiting completely, however. He is staying on as a "strategic consultant" for Coinbase.
"I'm incredibly excited to welcome Emilie to her new role as our Head of Europe," said Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase. "Emilie has been a key member of our leadership team for many years, and she has a deep understanding of our business and our customers. She is the perfect person to lead our continued growth in Europe."
Choi has been with Coinbase since 2014 and has held a number of leadership positions at the company. She was previously the vice president of product and engineering, and she has also served as the interim CEO.
"I'm honored to be taking on this new role and to lead Coinbase's continued expansion in Europe," said Choi. "I'm confident that we can build on our strong foundation and continue to grow our business in this important market."
Coinbase's move to appoint a new Europe head comes as the company continues to grow rapidly. The company recently secured an all-important Irish e-money license, which will allow it to offer a wider range of financial services in Europe.
