On July 15, the Celo Blockchain Development team proposed to convert Celo from an independent blockchain Layer-1 blockchain to an expansion solution for Ethereum Layer-2.
The proposal results have officially been announced, with 128/131 votes in favor, 2 against, and 1 abstaining.
This is not a one-sided decision, but the project team has spent months researching and discussing with their community and Ethereum.
